Synology has tapped Seagate Technology to launch IronWolf Health Management (IHM) designed for Synology’s Diskstation Manager (DSM).

Exclusively offered on Synology NAS, IHM backed the hardware sensors and software built into IronWolf NAS HDDs to deliver an intelligent analysis of drive health. Moreover, it allows users to prevent data loss, enabling them to manage digital assets with the packages that DSM provides such as Drive and multimedia applications.

IHM also oversees the stats of the DiskStation’s drives by continuously analyzing key parameter and intercepting, containing, and resolving issues quickly. It can even recommend actions to prevent arising problems.

In addition, NAS lets users to access files anywhere whenever they are connected to the Internet. Consumers simply have to use a web browser or mobile apps to utilize various services available on Synology NAS. This also allows them to have complete control and protection on their data without compensating the security of their files stored on public cloud or external drives.

It provides a centralized hub for all files, and simplifies data management by synchronizing files across various platforms, too. Files can even be shared with external links, and can be secured by having unique passwords and validity periods. Users can restore files, as well, through history versions.
