Globe Intros eSIM in PH! |
Globe just announced that they are now running its tests with select eSIM-enabled devices including the new iPhones, Apple Watch, and Huawei Watch.
In case you missed it, eSIM is a virtual embedded SIM that is pre-installed in mobile and wearable devices. This makes it a practical alternative to a physical SIM card. eSIM is equipped with automatic activation, and has automatic syncing feature that enables users to manage multiple devices, too.
“With the introduction of eSIM, Globe further strengthens its position as the country’s mobile innovation leader. This new technology enhances our customers’ experience and the way they live their digital lifestyle. The eSIM is also consistent with our initiative to reduce plastic use as part of our sustainability commitments,” Globe Senior Vice President and Head of Consumer Mobile Business Issa Guevarra-Cabreira addressed.
