| Only Mislatel Passes Third Telco Evaluation – NTC |
With this announcement, Mislatel will be the lone bidder to take the next stage of the selection process for the new major player.
In case you missed it, Mislatel Consortium is backed by Davao businessman Dennis Uy and China Telecom. The selection committee declared that they have passed the preliminary evaluation, as their selection document package was able to meet all of the requirements.

On the other hand, the other two bidders were announced disqualified. LCS-TierOne of Chavit Singson got disqualified for not securing an amount of Php700 million. Meanwhile, PT&T was also dumped as it wasn’t able to provide its technical experience certification.
However, both LCS-TierOne and PT&T will file a motion for reconsideration to be back on the telco race.
