Nokia 8.1 Plus with Punch Hole Selfie Camera Revealed in Renders |
Last year, notch became a smartphone trend to deliver more screen than ever. Now, mobile brands have found different tricks to escape it. One of the creative ways to eliminate the notch is the in-screen selfie camera, which was first introduced by Samsung as the Infinity-O display. Through this, they no longer have to mount a notch on their devices, but as an alternative, their units will sport a hole in its display to accommodate its front camera.
The latest company to join this twist seems to be Nokia through its upcoming smartphone – the Nokia 8.1 Plus.
OnLeaks and 91Mobiles published its alleged renders, revealing some of its key specs and design. The images showed that the Nokia 8.1 Plus will be dressed with a glass-like body. It might be big at 156.9 x 76.2 x 7.9mm, too.

Its front, on the other hand, might be dominated by a big 6.22-inch panel with an in-screen selfie camera. Meanwhile, there will be no in-display fingerprint scanner contrary to recent reports. Renders also revealed that it will sport a dual-rear camera setup co-engineered by ZEISS. Its back accommodates its fingerprint sensor, Nokia branding, and Android One logo, too.
Other notable features include its 3.5mm audio jack, and USB-C port.
We’ll update you with more details as soon as the Nokia 8.1 Plus launches. So, stay tuned!
