Vivo Intros APEX 2019 Concept Smartphone |
Vivo has put an end to the presence of physical keys and ports through its APEX 2019 concept smartphone. This became possible through Touch Sense technology that allows the device to remove physical buttons by integrating capacitive touch and pressure-sensing. Having extra-sensitive accuracy, the brand explained that the pressure sensors detect if a user is pressing the frame, while the capacitive touch determines its position.
Replacing USB ports, on the other hand, is a MagPort. This is a magnetic power connector that allows charging, and data transfer. Meanwhile, its display also doubles as a speaker through Body SoundCasting technology. Through this, its screen will be able to produce sound with its vibration function. Hence, Vivo no longer need to mount a speaker grill into the device.

The APEX 2019 will be showcased at the MWC 2019 in Barcelona this February.
