| ASUS ROG Launches RTX-Powered Strix II Gaming Laptops; Price Starts At Php119,000 |
First introduced during the recently concluded CES 2019 held in Las Vegas, the RTX-powered laptops made its way to the local shores and are now commercially available. The lineup includes the ROG Strix SCAR, ROG Hero GL504, and the ROG Strix SCAR GL704, all equipped with up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070.
The ROG Strix SCAR II comes in two variants with 15.6-inch and 17.3-inch screens which both have 144Hz refresh rate and 3ms response time. In terms of aesthetics, these versions come dressed in splashes of camouflage perfect for that battlefield effect. Inside, the ROG Strix SCAR II can either carry an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 with 6GB of GDDR6 VRAM or an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 with 8GB of GDDR6 VRAM. Additional internals include an Intel Core i7-8750H processor, 16GB DDR4 2666MHz RAM, and 256GB NVMe PCIe SSD + 1TB SSHD for storage.

The ROG Strix Hero, on the other hand, is a gaming laptop optimized for Multiplayer Online Battle Arena (MOBA). Made to be more approachable for wider audiences and different types of player, the ROG Strix Hero has contrasting textures and cyber-text patterns that are more restrained than the design of the SCAR II.
With the ROG Strix Hero, gamers fond of MOBA games can expect smoother performance since the said laptop comes with the latest NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060 graphics giving way for higher frame rates. Aside from this, the ROG Strix Hero carries the NVIDIA Optimus to help its battery life and power be conserved efficiently.

Another model of the improved Strix II lineup is the 17-inch ROG Zephyrus S GX701, the slimmest gaming laptop of its size running on an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 Max-Q, and the first-ever Zephyrus series model that has a 17-inch screen.
Similar to the original Zephyrus S GX531, the ROG Zephyrus S GX701 has the same super-narrow bezel 144Hz/3ms Full HD screen, but now with NVIDIA G-SYNC and Optimus technology with a PANTONE-validated panel. Cooling its ultra-powerful RTX 2080 Max-Q GPU is the same patented Active Aerodynamic System (AAS) and dual 12-volt fans and a robust thermal management system.
The ROG Zephyrus S GX701 will be available with up to 24GB DDR4 2666MHz RAM and up to 1TB NVMe PCIe SSD storage.

Both the ROG Strix Hero and the ROG Zephyrus S GX701 will be available at a later date. The ROG Strix SCAR GL504 and GL704 laptops are now available at ROG Districts and authorized retailers nationwide, including the ASUS ROG Strongholds in Lazada and Shopee.
