PLDT and Google Philippines has formally announced their partnership, revealing that Filipinos will soon have access to free, open, and high quality internet through Google Station across the country.

The companies have explained that free access to internet will be available in places like airports, train stations, and more – which will be called as Google Station. We can also expect that Google Station will be available in 50 locations across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao before February ends.

“We believe that we can use technology to help uplift the country and benefit every single Filipino. Para sa bayan, para sa lahat.” Ken Lingan, Google Philippines Country Manager, addressed.

PLDT said that they will first bring 25 Google Stations. Then, its more than 600 WiFi hubs will be converted as Google Stations for the Q1 2019.

Apart from these more than 600 sites, PLDT and Google are positive that they will be launching more stations in the country to reach more Filipinos soon.

Powered by carrier grade connectivity, consumers can use the internet for free in 30-minute segments. This means that you can use the service for up to 30 minutes, and when it ended, you need to register again for another 30 minutes.
