Due to the unforeseen consequences brought by the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) outbreak, Acer has decided to host the Asia Pacific Predator League, which is supposed to take place in February 2020 at the Mall of Asia Arena to a later date in Spring 2021.

“The postponement of the Asia Pacific Predator League, instead of a cancellation demonstrates Acer’s commitment to the gaming community,” Acer Pan Asia Pacific Regional Operations President Andrew Hou said.

He added that the decision was made considering the safety and welfare of the competitors, fans, spectators, and staff.

The finale in Spring 2021 is set to host a competition with the same qualifying teams from the local preliminaries from 17 regions who will all compete for the prize pool of USD400,000.

The said competition has also been renamed to Predator League 2020/2021.

Acer has initially sold 20,000 tickets for the said competition. For ticket holders who Acer lauded for their patience for the competition, the company will be giving away complimentary items like a limited edition Predator League 2020 shirt and face mask will be given away for those who purchased VIP tickets, and a Predator shirt for regular ticket buyers.
