OPPO just launched the F11 Pro in the Philippines. With an impressive price tag of just Php18,990, consumers can now get an attractive smartphone with a flashy design and trendy features. Luckily, our team got a chance to play around with the device to see if there’s more behind its stunning appearance.
OPPO F11 Pro Hands-on and Initial Impressions |
Let’s dive in, and see if it is worth your attention and bucks!
PHYSICAL:
The F11 Pro is available in Thunder Black and Aurora Green color variants. Our team, on the other hand, received the latter model. Just like other smartphones with gradient design, the device also features a jaw-dropping physique that will surely standout. Also, we like the way it appears simpler than the F9 series, while still maintaining its striking design.
Aurora Green |
As it features a glass-like body and metallic framing, the handset can easily attract fingerprints and smudges. So, we advise users to cover it with a protective case to avoid turning this good-looking device into a messy smartphone.
6.53-inch FHD+ screen |
Moving on, the F11 Pro is dominated by a 6.53-inch FHD+ screen with no notch. To make this possible, OPPO equipped it with a pop-up front camera that performs impressively all throughout our experience.
However, we’re a little bit disappointed that, unlike its rivals, the brand still settled for a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. Though it’s responsive and never had an issue, we just thought that the company will gear it with an in-display fingerprint scanner to level up its offerings.
Bottom |
Overall, all of its keys are thoughtfully placed somewhere we can easily reach it. Its volume rocker is located on its left cheek, while its home/lock button and SIM card tray are sited on the right side of the handset. At the bottom, you’d see its 3.5mm audio jack, MicroUSB 2.0 port, and speaker grilles.
OPPO F11 Pro Unboxing and Initial Impressions
For a much better look at the handset, you can watch our unboxing and hands-on video.
DISPLAY:
The F11 Pro sports a huge 6.53-inch all-screen display with FHD+ 1080p resolution. It is good for watching videos and playing games as it can support heavy graphics. It has punchy and vivid colors, too. Moreover, it gives us a good viewing experience, plus it has great brightness level even when we used it outdoors.
SOFTWARE:
OPPO F11 Pro |
The F11 Pro loads ColorOS 6 based on Android 9.0 Pie. Its skin is lively and colorful, but not in a way that it looks like a toy. It comes with numbers of pre-installed apps, including Google native apps, OPPO apps, and Facebook.
As expected, it has no app drawer – which means that you have to create app folders if you wish to organize your apps on its multiple home screens.
Face Unlock |
Navigating the device is easy, too. To use its face unlock, users simply have to swipe up its screen to reveal its pop-up front camera. To be honest, this is one of the most impressive features of the F11 Pro. It is fast and accurate. In fact, it can easily detect our face even when we used it in a dark room.
Its fingerprint scanner is responsive, and we never had an issue dealing with it, too.
PERFORMANCE:
OPPO equipped it with Helio P70 octa-core processor clocked at 2.1GHz, and is paired with the Mali-G72 MP3 GPU. To accompany users on their activities, the device comes with 6GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. For us, it’s already enough to run games and support multitasking. Meanwhile, we have to note that our team received a variant with 128GB ROM.

For now, we can say that the F11 Pro is a capable smartphone that can handle heavy mobile tasks. We tapped it as our main driver, and it never lagged even when multiple apps were running on its background. Playing games are smooth, as well as switching from one app to another.
Let’s see if we will still have the same reaction when we use it intensively.
CAMERA:
Camera |
Banking on its photography department, the F11 Pro boasts dual-rear cameras composed of a 48-megapixel f/1.8 main shooter, and a 5-megapixel f/2.4 secondary sensor. For selfies, it features a 16-megapixel snapper that comes with AI capabilities to enhance your photos.
The device has various camera modes including Portrait, HDR, Dazzle color, different filters, Night, Expert, Panorama, Time-lapse, Slo-mo, and of course, Google Lens. Users can also adjust its beautification to achieve natural-looking images when taking selfies.
Bokeh Effect (Portrait) |
So far, its rear and front cameras have great performance. Both can capture better low-light photos, too. However, we prefer to disable some of its features, like its Dazzle color as it produces cartoon-like images. Its portrait, on the other hand, is one of its key camera features. We just noticed that its bokeh effect isn’t perfect, even in places with good lighting.

By the way, taking night shots is cool and exciting. However, some noises became visible. It is still manageable though.
BATTERY:
The F11 Pro is packed with 4,000mAh battery that supports VOOC 3.0 fast charging. To be honest, its stamina exceeded our expectations. With just a single charge, the device can last for almost two days, noting that activities only include basic communications and social media browsing. However, when we used it for gaming, we're happy that we only have to charge twice a day.
Meanwhile, it took us almost an hour and a half to charge its battery.
FOR NOW…
16MP Pop-up Camera |
Our team believed that the F11 Pro can deliver your mobile needs without costing an arm and leg. Aside from its stunning design, the device also has great camera performance and long battery life. Its display is good for watching videos and playing games, as well.
Its pop-up camera is really impressive. But, let’s admit it, we’re not really sure how long it can go up and down. Nevertheless, we tried to move and shake it, and it feels solid and durable.
So far, we enjoy using the F11 Pro. We’ll update you with our in-depth review soon, so, stay tuned!
