| Xiaomi Mi 9 Explorer Edition 8GB/256GB Version Announced |
In case you missed it, Xiaomi initially launched its newest flagship smartphone – the Mi 9. The device is also introduced with a flashier model – the Mi 9 Explorer Edition. The latter comes with a transparent back to stand out against other handsets. However, some consumers weren’t happy that the special edition doesn’t come with an 8GB/256GB variant.
Now, Xiaomi Product Director Wang Teng Thomas revealed that the Mi 9 Explorer Edition will be offered with an 8GB/256GB storage option soon.

As a quick recap, the device flashes a 6.39-inch Super AMOLED screen with FHD+ display. Inside, it is powered by Snapdragon 855 octa-core processor, which can be paired with up to 12GB of RAM. Camera-wise, it features triple rear shooters composed of a 48MP + 16MP + 12MP combination.
Meanwhile, rumors suggest that the new variant will be available this month with a CNY 3,599 (~Php28.4K) price tag.
