Samsung Electronics gave members of the media a chance to experience its new lineup of wearable technology firsthand as it hosted an obstacle course challenge at Pretty Huge Obstacles in SM Aura on Thursday.

The challengers in Asia’s first multi-level obstacle course race training facility wore the ergonomic Galaxy Buds and the stylish Galaxy Watch Active that provided them entertainment and tracked their progress as they faced 10 exciting stations.

The course demonstrated the wearables’ ability to adapt to dynamic and physically demanding lifestyles.

The Galaxy Buds connect instantly to a smartphone via Bluetooth and can be charged wirelessly by the Galaxy S10 as well. It is available in black and white variants at Php6,990. An online exclusive pair in yellow will also be launched soon.

If you’re looking for a personal trainer that you can carry everywhere on your wrist, the Galaxy Watch Active is the gadget for you. It monitors exercises, sleep, stress, and health levels and allows for easy fitness tracking by automatically detecting common activities such as running, biking, and rowing.

The smartwatch is capable of making calls or sending messages using its speech-to-text feature. Users can also sync their devices to pool data like workout information. Place them against a Galaxy device to get some juice through the Wireless PowerShare technology.

To make it a much sweeter deal, the Galaxy Watch Active comes in a sleek and minimalist design and has a customizable watch face to match with the wearer’s personality. It retails at Php11,990 and comes in black and rose gold.

The participants also got a first look at the Galaxy Fit and Galaxy Fit E fitness bands, which have yet to reach the Philippine market.

The devices are made for all types of fitness enthusiasts and automatically kicks into action when you walk, run, bike, row, hop, or start a new general dynamic workout. It also comes with features like sleep analysis and smart stress management for the wearer’s wellbeing.

The Galaxy Fit and Fit E sync with compatible smartphones with ease, allowing users to receive notifications and messages on the fitness bands. It also adjusts automatically to new time zones, making it easier for those on the move to manage their schedule. With a water resistance rating of 5 ATM, the Galaxy Fit and Fit E can easily go from laps in the pool to the rest of one’s busy day.

The Fit and Fit E will retail at Php4,990 and Php1,990, respectively.
