Sharp AQUOS 8K LED TV; Price Starts at Php380K Only |
The Sharp AQUOS 8K LED TV is the first commercially available 8K TV in the Philippines. It was initially launched last year through SPC President and General Manager, Kazuo Kito, boasting 16 times more resolution than the conventional Full HD (1920 x 1080) television. Unlike other 8K television in the market, the Sharp AQUOS 8K LED TV has a real 8K LED panel, it is not an upscale resolution, but indeed a true 8K resolution, which is, by the way, a whopping 7680 x 4320 pixels!
As such, it produces image outputs with ultra-fine details that are highly comparable to real objects. Moreover, it achieves an even greater level of realism by expanding the range of color reproduction, and reproducing true brightness and contrast of images, thanks to Sharp's 8K Master Engine.

Aside from its extraordinary crisp display, the AQUOS TV is also an Android TV that has built-in WiFi, Bluetooth, Chromecast, and Dolby Audio. Moreover, there is also an accompanying home theater system, the AQUOS AUDIO, that complements the AQUOS 8K TV and provides immersive stereophonic sound.
"Apart from displaying TV broadcasts and other media contents, 8K will dramatically impact many aspects of our lives: medical, business, security, education, transportation and many more." Toshio Kawata, Deputy General Manager TV System Business Unit of Sharp Corporation, elaborated the advantage of 8K technology.
The Sharp AQUOS 8K LED TV is available in 60-inch, 70-inch, and 80-inch variants. The smallest one will cost you Php379,998, the next one has a suggested retail price tag of Php575,998, while the biggest model will be up for grab for only Php1,049,998!
