Lenovo, Qualcomm Intros World's First 5G PC

After its years-long collaboration, Lenovo and Qualcomm have finally unveiled the world’s first 5G PC named as the Project Limitless.

Showcased at Computex 2019, the ultra-portable Lenovo product is the first-ever device to sport the Qualcomm Snapdragon X55 5G modem. This allows the machine to connect to a blazing 5G network. Lenovo also explained that there will be a huge growth by enabling smarter, modern computing through a more immersive connectivity.

“With real 5G in a PC, it’s all about satisfying users’ need for speed: faster file transfers and streaming in 4K, 8K and even AR/VR; faster and higher quality video chats on-the-go; even faster screen refreshes for mobile gaming. When we say limitless connectivity, we mean it,” Johnson Jia, senior vice president and general manager, Consumer Business of Intelligent Devices Group, Lenovo, addressed.

In case you missed it, the Snapdragon 8cx supports immersive user experience and will meet the needs of highly mobile user with multi-gigabit speeds, long battery life, enterprise applications, and security-rich capabilities.
