Samsung Electronics has inked its partnership with AMD to bring Radeon graphics technologies to its future devices.

Through this partnership, Samsung will bring AMD graphics IP based on RDNA architecture to its mobile devices, including smartphones and other products that will match AMD’s offerings. In return, the Korean tech giant will pay AMD technology license fees and royalties.

This will allow the mobile brand to focus on advanced graphics technologies and solutions, which are critical for enhancing innovation across mobile applications.

“As we prepare for disruptive changes in technology and discover new opportunities, our partnership with AMD will allow us to bring groundbreaking graphics products and solutions to market for tomorrow’s mobile applications,” Inyup Kang, President of Samsung Electronics’ S.LSI Business, addressed.

The tech giant also eyes to accelerate innovations in mobile graphics technologies that will help them elevate their future mobile computing.

“This strategic partnership will extend the reach of our high-performance Radeon graphics into the mobile market, significantly expanding the Radeon user base and development ecosystem,” Dr. Lisa Su, AMD President and CEO, noted.
