From over hundreds of entries across Cebu and Metro Manila, Team Visionaries of University of San Carlos has successfully battled out its rivals in the recently concluded Program The Future: The Accenture Technology Campus Challenge 2019.

In case you missed it, Program The Future: The Accenture Technology Campus Challenge aims to spark innovation among Filipino college and university students to create solutions for industries to help make a positive impact in society.

Team Visionaries won the competition with its Parasight application that eyes to help medical technologists quickly detect Amoebiasis. The team is composed of Jerico Hames Gantuangco, Robert Espina, Alejandro Cansancio, and Wincent Jarell Tan.

Meanwhile, Team Addie of De Las Salle Lipa received the Accenture Technology Vision award for their personal therapy toy for children with ADHD. The toy sports a facial recognition, hearing sensors, and a sentiment analyzer to know how it can interact with its users. It will also suggest treatment options for children with ADHD.

Other top 10 finalists also include Team Ada Lovelace Club of National University; Team AetherApps of University of the Philippines – Cebu; Team Centrilink of Asia Pacific College; Team eyeSmart of University of the Philippines – Diliman; Team Tapat at Tunay of De La Salle University; Team Top Three of College of Saint Benilde; and Team Zephyros of University of the Philippines – Diliman.
