| Globe to Provide GoWiFi in Key Areas of Manila, GCash to Empower City’s Scholars |
Through this partnership, Manila City Mayor Isko Moreno announced that Globe will provide fast and reliable internet connectivity in key areas of the city. With this, Globe confirmed that it will deploy GoWiFi at Manila City Hall, Ospital ng Maynila, Tondo Medical Center, Gat Andres Bonifacio Memorial Medical Center, Tondo National High School, Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila, and Universidad de Manila.
Meanwhile, Globe President and CEO Ernest Cu expressed its intention to build additional 100 wireless sites to improve the signal in the city.

On the other hand, it was revealed that the memorandum of agreement also covers the use of GCash as the official financial service platform to send allowances and other monetary benefits to about 15,000 scholars under the office of the Manila City Mayor.
Students will receive a GCash Mastercard, which will also work as their official identification card as a beneficiary of the program.
