The Huawei Nova 7 SE sports a 6.5-inch IPS display with Full-HD+ resolution that is 2400 x1080 pixels, with a 20:9 aspect ratio and HDR10 compatibility. Under the hood, it is powered by the new HiSilicon Kiron 820 5G chipset, which is based on a 7nm manufacturing process and composed of 2.36GHz octa-core CPU and six-core ARM Mali-G57 graphics. It also has 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage.

In terms of photography capability, it still has a quad-camera setup like the Huawei Nova 7i, but the main module is now upgraded from 48MP to 64MP f/1.8 modules. The other 3 sensors remained the same, 8MP f/2.4 ultrawide, 2MP f/2.4 macro, and 2MP f/.24 depth. As for the front camera, both devices have the same 16MP f/2.0 selfie snapper.
The other similarities of the Nova 7 SE and Nova 7i are side-mounted fingerprint sensor, dual-band WiFi connectivity, and USB Type-C port. Moreover, both of them support 40W fast charging capability, albeit the 7 SE battery is slightly smaller at 4,000mAh than the 7i's 4,200.
