Providing a safer option for its customers amid the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, Home Credit has launched its own contactless payment system -- the QR payment feature -- making it the first non-bank firm in the country to release credit cards to its clients.

Through the said feature, Home Credit customers are no longer required to make physical contact when paying for their purchases. All that’s needed to do is to update their Home Credit app to the latest version and utilize the scan to pay method with QR codes in any AUB PayMate partner stores across the country.

Every purchase paid through Home Credit’s  QR payment feature will entail customers a 1% cashback, and all transactions will be automatically charged to the Home Credit Card. Payments and activities done using the Home Credit Card are recorded and can be reviewed on the My Home Credit App.

According to Home Credit Philippines CEO David Minol, this new feature by Home Credit is their way of considering the safety of their loyal customers.

“With this new feature in our credit card and mobile app, our customers can enjoy the safest form of payments—one that involves zero contact and handling of cash—not to mention the most convenient,” Minol said.

Home Credit is also set to reveal more features of its My Home Credit App, and will soon release its own voice bot and chatbot for more efficient customer service. The My Home Credit App is available for free download from the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.
