The Lenovo ThinkStation P620 is poised as a new industry standard, being the only 64 core workstation platform with Threadripper PRO processors which officer clock speeds of up to 4.0 GHz, 128 lanes of PCIe 4.0 bandwidth, and 8-channel memory support.

Among the high-end qualities of the ThinkStation P620 include its capability to achieve seamless real-time 8K streaming, ultra-fast simulation solving, quick assembly rebuilds, smooth interactivity with 3D assets, and faster rendering even without having a dual-socket system.

The ThinkStation P620 also breaks borders as users can upgrade its specs according to their preferences. This includes GPU configurations, and memory and storage adjustments, as well as 10GB of built-in Ethernet -- the largest one yet. This device from Lenovo is also the lone PCIe Gen 4 workstation available in the market today which offers twice the bandwidth of PCIe 3.0.

Since the ThinkStation P620 is versatile, it can support up to two NVIDIA Quadro RTX 8000 or four RTX 4000 graphic cards, plus up to 1TB of memory and 20TB of storage.

Designed to handle the most demanding tasks to professionally manage IT environments, the ThinkStation P620 comes with an advanced cooling system in a custom-made heat sink, a product of a collaboration between Lenovo and AMD.

Since Lenovo also values customer support and after-sales service, the ThinkStation P620 comes with enterprise-grade features including ThinkStation Diagnostics 2.0, ThinkShield support, upgrades to Premier Support plus three-year warranty.

According to Lenovo’s General Manager for Workstation and Client AI Business Unit, Rob Herman, the ThinkStation P620 addressed the needs of their customers looking for professional-grade solutions that are both powerful and versatile.

“One of the challenges for IT departments we’ve seen is the push to try new technologies before they’ve been vetted - lacking enterprise-grade features, certifications and security, and support. We’ve worked closely with AMD, ensuring the ThinkStation P620 removes all these barriers and gives users the support they need. Built on AMD’s versatile and extremely scalable Ryzen Threadripper PRO Processor there are no limits to what can be accomplished,” Herman said.

Lenovo is yet to announce the local pricing of the ThinkStation P620 which is set to arrive this coming September. Discover more about this through www.lenovo.com/p620.
