| Manila City Provides Tablets, Laptops, Pocket WiFi, and SIM with Free Data to Students and Teachers |
According to Yorme Isko post on his Facebook page, the Manila City government will be giving away the following gadgets:
- Cherry Mobile Magnum 8 or Magnum 10 tablets (for students)
- SIM cards with 10GB data monthly allocation (for students)
- Globe LTE Pocket WiFi (for teachers)
- AVITA Liber 12.5-inch Laptops (for teachers)

Glimpse on what's coming on Monday para sa mga Batang Maynila!
Magsisimula na po ang delivery next week ng ating mga tablets at laptops para sa mga minamahal kong mga guro at estudyante bilang paghahanda para sa nalalapit na pagsisimula ng blended distant learning.
Kasama po dito ang pocket wifi para sa teachers, at sim card na mayroong 10GB data allocation monthly para naman po sa mga estudyante.
This effort of your city government is to help every student and teacher to continue studying and adapt to the new normal of education. Ito ay tulong na rin natin sa mga magulang para maibsan ang kanilang hirap na mapaaral ang kanilang mga anak.
Sama-sama nating kakaharapin itong tinatawag na blended distant learning. Hindi po namin kayo iiwan sa maliit naming kaparaanan at may awa ang Diyos, makakaraos din po tayo.

This is indeed a great news as not all students and teachers are able to buy laptops or tablets, especially this time of pandemic.
By the way, as per a post on the AVITA's Facebook page, Cherry Mobile is also selling AVITA laptops, which leads us to think that there is a partnership forged between the Manila City and Cherry Mobile team for this cause. As most of you know, Cherry Mobile has also a close relation to Globe Telecom as their Cherry Prepaid is powered by the said telco.
