"Huawei and PCCI have worked very closely to establish a partnership that will genuinely benefit the youth of our country through training and education in cloud technology, artificial intelligence, and mobile services," PCCI President Ambassador Benedicto V. Yujuico said at the "Introductory Webinar on Huawei ICT Academy and Huawei Mobile Services (HMS) with Local Chambers and Educational Institutions" on Wednesday.
"We will introduce to you the Huawei ICT Academy — the official program that offers industry-recognized Huawei certification courses to students, which will serve as a gateway to getting new ICT talent closer to industry," Yujuico added, referring to PCCI's partnership with Huawei.

Huawei also unveiled its mobile app development program, which aims to strengthen cross-platform app development skills while also serving as a link between MSMEs and universities through joint projects.

According to Vice President Daniel Guo of Huawei Philippines, the aim of Huawei's training programs is to "enhance ICT engineers' skills and help them balance the work requirements to make it easier for them to find suitable ICT jobs in the domestic market and the global market."

The Huawei ICT Academy, which was established in 2013, is a school-business partnership program that brings together universities, colleges, and educational institutions worldwide to develop a talent ecosystem for the ICT industry. It offers industry-standard training and qualification courses to provide students with the professional expertise and skills that local and foreign employers demand.

The Huawei Mobile App Development Program is a non-profit collaboration program that provides app development and digitalization training to university students. It also aids MSMEs in the creation of their own business applications.
