INTRODUCTION:

Barely three years since being founded, realme has become a strong competitor in the condensed tech market. Perhaps a factor that can obviously be attributed to its global success is how well it understands its niche market and how it maintained its strategy of providing capable devices at an economical price. From smartphones, the brand has also expanded to tech accessories, and the latest addition under its arsenal is the new realme Watch S Pro officially unveiled earlier today. Curious about what it has to offer? Here's our review!

DESIGN AND INTERFACE:

The realme Watch S Pro resembles its predecessor, the realme Watch S with the familiar round clock face and the two buttons located at the right cheek -- looking like a traditional watch. The clock dial in stainless steel attached to a replaceable silicone strap measures 1.39 inches or 46 mm in diameter and comes in 454 x 454 resolution with a maximum brightness of 450 nits which is vibrant enough. Its bezels are thin, and it doesn’t look awkwardly big on the wrist when worn.

Just like most of the latest smartwatches, the realme Watch S Pro lessens the need to adjust the screen brightness manually as it's equipped with an ambient light sensor for automatic adjustment. It also exudes a classic yet elegant look, all thanks to its all-black design.

If you have a fair share of using different smartwatches, you would agree that it's a must for these kinds of devices to have easy navigation, and the realme Watch S Pro offers that.

realme Watch S Pro Interface
Interface

A series of swipes and taps will take you through the different functions and features of the realme Watch S Pro, and we like that it allows home screen widgets so frequently used apps are easily accessible akin to the Wear OS interface. A swipe to the left will reveal your step count and calories burnt, heart rate, sleep data, and music controls, while a swipe to the right will bring you to a quick access menu which has controls for brightness level, lift-to-wake function, and the power saving and do not disturb modes.

Those who plan to purchase the realme Watch S Pro should keep in mind that this smartwatch is leaning more to the "lite" version. While, in essence, it is a smartwatch, its intelligent features are not as extensive as compared to other more expensive and more high-end smartwatches. It is capable of delivering important notifications, but it currently does not allow quick replies. An interesting part of the realme Watch S Pro, though, is it has a flashlight.

The realme Watch S Pro also has 100 different watch faces you can choose from and match your #OOTDs with. Switching the designs can either be done on the watch itself or through the compatible realme Link app.

PERFORMANCE AND BATTERY LIFE:

The realme Watch S Pro can track 15 sports modes, including running, walking, yoga, basketball, and swimming. Yes, you can use it up to 50 meters as it is 5ATM water-resistant. It also has sedentary and water reminders throughout the day to remind you to move and to hydrate. It can also monitor the user’s heart rate, blood oxygen saturation levels, and sleep quality; plus, it has a built-in GPS, although realme has to work on improving its accuracy.

The realme Watch S Pro jots all the data related to these detailedly and accurately, as we have observed, so it really helps, especially when you’re keeping closer tabs on your health. Health-related statistics can be viewed on the realme Link app.

realme Watch S Pro Always-On Display
Always-On Display

For a decently-priced smartwatch that doesn’t fall under the high-end category of smartwatches, the realme Watch S Pro offers an impressive battery performance. Its 420mAh battery that was advertised to last up to 14 days powered us up to 10 days straight with the occasional use of the Always-On function. Recharging the device takes a couple of hours, though, which is quite longer than the charging time of other smartwatches available in the market.

FINAL WORDS:

If you’re looking for a smartwatch with lots of fitness tracking and health features as well as a bigger, circular display rather than a smaller and rectangular one, the realme Watch S Pro is your wrist match.
