In collaboration with National Geographic, vivo officially launched the VISION+ Mobile PhotoAwards 2021 (hereinafter referred to as VISION+ Mobile PhotoAwards) and announced the opening of all registration channels. Through the VISION+ Project, vivo, as a pioneer and developer in mobile imaging, is collaborating with well-known industry partners from around the world, including ZEISS and National Geographic, to establish a mobile imaging ecosystem. This effort intends to promote collaborative picture creation, public education, and aesthetic discovery. The ultimate goal of vivo is to inspire more people to explore the joys of creative while also speeding up the development and acceptance of mobile imaging.

The VISION+ Mobile PhotoAwards are a key component of the VISION+ Project, which aims to promote mobile photography. Professionals, hobbyists, and mobile phone users are all encouraged to participate in the competition, which will serve as a platform for worldwide discussion on mobile photography.

vivo is teaming up with National Geographic once more to promote mobile photography.

The VISION+ Mobile PhotoAwards were first launched in 2020 by vivo and National Geographic as a crucial component of the VISION+ Project. More than 135,000 smartphone photography submissions were submitted, and 38 honors were given out to finalists from nine nations and regions, including China, the United Kingdom, France, Spain, and Russia. Creators from a wide range of backgrounds and cultures submitted a rich tapestry of works that depicted the richness and brightness of life around the world, including colorful portraits, quaint folk life, and breathtaking landscapes.

The VISION+ Mobile PhotoAwards 2021 have been formally launched by vivo and National Geographic in response to a plethora of rich, creative content and enthusiastic reaction from the audience.

This year's judging panel for the VISION+ Mobile PhotoAwards includes six internationally renowned photography specialists and academics from various disciplines. Martin Parr, Documentary Photographer; Jonas Bendiksen, Documentary Photographer; Xiao Quan, Portrait Photographer; Laura Serani, Curator, Les Rencontres d'Arles; Bertram Hoenlinger, ZEISS Photography Expert; and Michael George, National Geographic Photo Consultant are among them. The judging panel will assess photographic submissions from their various professional perspectives, providing feedback and suggestions to enable talented creators better express themselves through mobile photography.

This year's VISION+ Mobile PhotoAwards will feature more categories across three groups, including the Open Group, Youth Group, and a new Professional Group, in addition to an upgraded panel of judges. vivo encourages smartphone users to identify and display their creativity in the categories that they are most enthusiastic about. Professional photographers are encouraged to understand and express their thoughts on modern society, societal trends, and the year's important moments in the Professional Group's three categories: News, Creative, and Documentary Projects. The beauty of everyday life, human emotions, and recollections are emphasized in the Open and Youth Groups. Portraits, Night, Sports, Nature, Life, and Places are among the six categories of the Open Group. Surroundings is the emphasis of the Youth Group, which is a Special Feature.

The competition will include 33 awards in all, with winners receiving prizes and creative support from vivo. Vivo will engage with industry partners to provide winners with chances in commercial photography, urban outdoor exhibitions, and the publication of photographic works, in addition to general awards such as cash prizes, smartphones, and certificates. The purpose of vivo is to support winners' long-term development as well as the discovery and enjoyment of excellent mobile photography.
