The realme 9 Pro+ Free Fire Limited Edition is a stunner. On its rear part are design elements reminiscent of the Free Fire universe. These include a "Booyah!" printed on the right side of its protruding rear camera module and a very – just like how we say it in Filipino – "astig" theme. There's a realme emblem at the middle part of the device, while a Free Fire branding in a shiny font sits at the bottom part. Long story short, the realme 9 Pro+ Free Fire Limited Edition screams gaming in all its angles. Its back part also reflects a rainbow holographic effect, which really complements its dark blue color. The device is made with a combination of plastic and metal, but it still looks and feels premium.

In terms of its display, the realme 9 Pro+ Free Fire Limited Edition flaunts a 6.4-inch 1080x2400 pixels Super AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate – the same as the standard variant of the realme 9 Pro+. With an AMOLED screen, it's expected for this device to produce a quality display that's pleasant to the eyes. Colors are vivid, and details are sharp. And to keep the Free Fire theme going, realme has inculcated a special Kelly "The Swift" theme pre-installed. This includes a Free Fire-themed wallpaper for the home screen and lock screen, as well as application icons.

Under the hood, the Free Fire edition of the realme 9 Pro+ comes with the same set of specs as the standard variant. We're talking about a MediaTek Dimensity 920 5G SoC, a Mali-G68 MC4 GPU, and 8GB RAM, however, it only has a 128GB onboard storage.
Other specs worth mentioning include a 5G/4G LTE connection, WiFi 6, and Bluetooth 5.2. To complement its AMOLED display, this smartphone also has Dolby Atmos Dual Stereo speakers that produce impressive loudspeaker audio to the delight of non-earphone-user binge-watchers.
Our team's whole experience with the realme 9 Pro+ Free Fire edition was a smooth ride. There were no major hiccups during our week-long usage, whether when switching between different apps for productivity, multimedia, social media, and gaming.
This device operates on Android 12 with realme UI 3.0 on top. Compared to previous versions of realme's user interface, UI 3.0 is more fluid and has enhanced customization options. The realme 9 Pro+ Free Fire Limited edition also has an under-display fingerprint scanner and face unlock, which both work fast. There's an option to change the fingerprint scanner animation if you want to be extra cool.
Using the smartphone's under-display fingerprint scanner, you can also measure your heart rate. Pretty cool, right?
In replacement of an LED light that's commonly found near a smartphone's ear speaker, the realme 9 Pro+ Free Fire version has edge lightning for notifications.
