Google Career Certificates, a Grow with Google program, offer a selection of flexible online training courses on Coursera.org. These qualifications were developed and given by Google to give students from all backgrounds digital skills in, on average, three to six months. Project management, data analytics, UX design, and IT support are the four credential possibilities that Google offers.

According to Bernadette Nacario, Country Director for Google Philippines, "Google is committed to assisting the Philippines' economic growth through the opportunities afforded by the country's burgeoning digital economy." "Google wants to erase the digital skills gap and improve the lives of thousands of Filipinos for themselves and their families by distributing free Google Career Certificates," according to the 5.2% unemployment rate and the fast-increasing number of tech job advertisements.

To distribute the scholarships, Google will collaborate closely with regional partners like the Globe Group and governmental bodies like the Department of Trade and Industry and the Department of Information and Communications Technology. These distribution partners will choose deserving candidates and monitor the progress of the students.

"To advance the nation's economy, it is essential to equip the current workforce with digital and job-ready skills. Yoly Crisanto, chief sustainability, and corporate communications officer for The Globe Group, described the Google Career Certificates program in the Philippines, which would give 39,000 young Filipinos advanced IT training, as a privilege for the organization.

"Initiatives like the Google Career Certificate scholarships are crucial to accomplishing our objective of building globally competitive firms as we continue to work toward equitable growth and the creation of jobs. Alfredo Pascual, the secretary of trade and industry, said: "We applaud Google for starting this program, which will inform 39,000 students and job seekers about in-demand IT and computing employment opportunities.

"The Google Career Certificates program will be essential for promoting opportunities for career growth and capacity building in the information and communications technology sector. Secretary of the Department of Information and Communications Technology, attorney Ivan John Enrile Uy, said: "We are grateful to Google for bringing this high-impact program to the country, which will not only open up new career opportunities for thousands of Filipinos but also assist the Department in publicizing the financial advantages of a digital Philippines.

Anyone over the age of 18 is eligible for Google Career Certificates, which don't require any prior education or work experience. By offering financial aid for the certifications, Google will help members of underserved communities—including low-income and vocational students, and college dropouts, among others—achieve their educational and employment goals.

"The Google Career Certificates program will be the means of transportation for my family and me to reach the goal of our goals. According to Google Career Certificate scholar and civil engineering student Shiela Marie Manzano, developing the right skills that will offer us a competitive advantage is crucial as the IT industry gets more and more competitive.
