Google has announced that it will award 39,000 scholarships for Google Career Certificates to Filipino students and job seekers from underserved communities. Then, students could learn about employment options in high-demand sectors like IT.

Google Career Certificates, a Grow with Google program, offer a selection of flexible online training courses on Coursera.org. These qualifications were developed and given by Google to give students from all backgrounds digital skills in, on average, three to six months. Project management, data analytics, UX design, and IT support are the four credential possibilities that Google offers.
According to Bernadette Nacario, Country Director for Google Philippines, "Google is committed to assisting the Philippines' economic growth through the opportunities afforded by the country's burgeoning digital economy." "Google wants to erase the digital skills gap and improve the lives of thousands of Filipinos for themselves and their families by distributing free Google Career Certificates," according to the 5.2% unemployment rate and the fast-increasing number of tech job advertisements.
To distribute the scholarships, Google will collaborate closely with regional partners like the Globe Group and governmental bodies like the Department of Trade and Industry and the Department of Information and Communications Technology. These distribution partners will choose deserving candidates and monitor the progress of the students.

Anyone over the age of 18 is eligible for Google Career Certificates, which don't require any prior education or work experience. By offering financial aid for the certifications, Google will help members of underserved communities—including low-income and vocational students, and college dropouts, among others—achieve their educational and employment goals.
