Gear Up for the 8th Philippine International Motor Show Happening this September 15 to 18

The Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines, Inc. (CAMPI) is happy to announce that the Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS) is coming back. This highly-anticipated event happens every two years and brings together the country's biggest auto manufacturers and distributors to show off their newest vehicles and cutting-edge technologies. With the theme "Mobility + Humanity: Innovating for the Common Good," PIMS 2022, now in its 8th year, focuses on new ideas to make people's mobility safer, more efficient, and more sustainable.

After a four-year break, the motor show is back this year. During that time, the auto industry has constantly been changing and adapting to meet consumers' needs due to the pandemic's effects. Over the years, CAMPI has stayed committed to moving the automotive industry forward by working with both the government and the private sector to create policies, programs, and other activities that not only maximize the sector's role in the growth and development of the country's economy but also provide mobility solutions that meet the needs of Filipinos as they change.

"Despite the problems, we are confident that the industry is on its way to a comeback and recovery. The double-digit growth in the last month and the 18.4% increase in vehicle sales year-to-date are proof of this. "We are almost at 57% of our annual industry goal," said Atty. Rommel Gutierrez, President of the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines Inc. (CAMPI).

In line with our path to recovery, we are happy to bring back the much-anticipated Philippine International Motor Show. This event will bring together the most prominent car companies in the country to show how the latest vehicles and mobility innovations can help us move toward a better and more sustainable future.

As such, PIMS brings together 13 of the top automotive brands, including long-term partners BMW, Foton, Honda, Isuzu, Kia, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Suzuki, and Toyota, as well as new members Chery, Geely, and Hyundai in unveiling their latest and most recent innovations that will drive the future of mobility.

This year, the Bank of the Philippines Islands (BPI) will be the motor show's only auto financing partner and diamond sponsor. As the event's official mobility partner, Foton will run a shuttle service with 3 updated Jeepneys for the 4 days of the event. Shuttles will take guests for free between the World Trade Center and the SMX Convention Center from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

As with past PIMS shows, the motor show will have exclusive car launches, car displays in brand booths, and daily presentations by the top automakers in the country. Also, people who go to the motor show can test drive some of the newest cars on the market from brands that are taking part.

There will be a place for aftermarket retail booths where special parts and service appointments can be made. During the motor show, several car clubs will hold car meets. People can also participate in a wide range of family-friendly activities planned to make the 8th edition of PIMS fun for everyone.

From September 15 to 18, 2022, don't miss the 8th PIMS at the World Trade Center in Pasay City (Thursday to Sunday). The first 1,000 people to buy tickets every day of the show get a 50% discount. Tickets can be purchased at the venue for PHP 200 each. From 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., the gates will be open. We hope to see you all there!
