Ingram Micro Philippines marks its 13th anniversary and continues to strive to be a best workplace.

To celebrate its 13 years of business in the Philippines, Ingram Micro, a global technology and supply chain company, recently held its first hybrid event, 13est Workplace Ever 13th Anniversary Celebration, at the Hilton Manila Grand Ballroom. The event celebrated the accomplishments of the Filipino people and their continuous commitment to helping companies "Realize the Promise of Technology." Additionally, it was the third year in a row that Great Place to Work® recognized the business as one of the best workplaces in the Philippines.

"This year's anniversary celebration was extraordinary as it was the first time we were able to celebrate with our colleagues in a hybrid setting since the beginning of the pandemic," said Eric de Pedro, vice president, Global Business Services and Philippines Country Leader. It was amazing to see how excited and energized our employees were as they celebrated together and interacted with one another in a way that was far different from merely praising teammates on a laptop screen. We want to reward our staff with activities they would love as we progressively transition to the Better Normal because we all experienced the pandemic's consequences differently.

The variety show-themed month-long event got underway in May and ended in June with the hybrid anniversary celebration. At the Robi Domingo-hosted event, staff members enjoyed thrilling gifts and performances by OPM legends Bamboo Maalac and Unique Salonga. The Greatness Anywhere campaign by Ingram Micro Philippines was also launched to demonstrate their commitment to being a Great Place to Work® in the middle of the workplace change brought on by COVID-19's consequences.

Eric jokes about how maintaining a balance between safety, flexibility, purpose, and collaboration defines our evolving workplace. We may foster trust and genuine compassion beyond the screen through meaningful activities rather than merely ordinary business transactions. We look forward to creating more novel shared experiences at work and at home.

As a leader in technology and cloud solutions and the organization that supports the top technology brands, Ingram Micro has the ability to serve 90% of the world's population with sales in 200 countries on six continents. As Ingram Micro intensifies its efforts to restructure its business and go digital, the momentum is still strong, and the Manila location is crucial to its continued progress.

Additionally, the Manila center held a four-day Career Carnival hiring event at The Peninsula Hotel in Makati City during the first week of July. The festival, which had a fair recruiting theme, attracted more than 1,000 applicants from the Greater Manila region and neighboring provinces.

Sam White, director of HR, stated that there is still a great need for Filipinos internationally. The accomplishment of our most recent hiring event "confirms Ingram Micro's commitment to nurturing and promoting Filipino talent." We started our shared service center in Manila 13 years ago, and despite the pandemic's adverse environmental effects, there are still many opportunities for growth to come. We can't wait to get off on this journey with our team and assist them in defining the future as the post-pandemic globe ushers in a new era.
