Because of the longstanding partnership, when Grab consumers add GCash as a direct payment method on the Grab app, they will have access to the fastest, safest, and most convenient cashless transactions. By February, GCash will be officially accepted as a payment method on the Grab platform.

Customers can use their cellphones to quickly and conveniently pay cashless for GrabCar, GrabFood, GrabMart, GrabExpress, and other Grab services by selecting GCash as their preferred payment option. This collaboration also allows clients to avoid transfer fees, which can be as high as Php 50.

"With this agreement, we once more accomplish our mission to better the daily lives of Filipinos by providing a more practical, secure, and inexpensive method for them to pay for their rides as well as food and grocery deliveries. "We look forward to this connection," said Martha Sazon, president and CEO of GCash. "We will continuously expand and construct other relationships that will improve the lives of Filipinos."

Customers of Grab can also benefit from GCash-exclusive discounts and special gifts when they pay for their transactions with GCash, making cashless transactions more convenient and rewarding.

"Grab Philippines is committed to supporting our stakeholders in a digital-first economy, and promoting a deeper and wider acceptance of cashless transactions in the country is critical to this," said Grace Vera Cruz, Grab Philippines' national head. As more Filipinos use cashless transactions, our chances of becoming digital improve. We are optimistic that by collaborating on this goal, we will be able to improve the lives and livelihoods of many of our kababayans and create a cashless, digital-first economy for all Filipinos. We are excited to collaborate with similar-minded companies like GCash.

Grab is Southeast Asia's most popular superapp for on-demand grocery delivery, meal delivery, and ride-hailing. It has a strong footing in countries such as the Philippines, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Vietnam. Prior to this development, GCash and Grab had previously formed a strategic collaboration. Their first collaboration provided Filipinos with a safe, convenient, and secure digital experience by allowing users to transfer money from their GCash wallet to their GrabPay wallet and vice versa.

This cooperation focuses on GCash and Grab's common goal of serving Filipinos' daily needs, in addition to helping to establish a more cash-lite and digitally-driven economy.

As part of its objective to achieve "Finance for All," GCash will continue to innovate and build alliances to deliver affordable, practical, and secure services, enhancing Filipino lives daily and beyond in the new normal.
