This accolade follows hot on the heels of an official range verification by the Automobile Association Philippines (AAP) in February, marking the second significant recognition for the J7 SHS this year.

The comprehensive Euro NCAP Assessment evaluated the J7 SHS on several crucial safety parameters, including adult and child occupant protection, vulnerable road user (Pedestrian) protection, and the effectiveness of safety assist systems.
In the adult occupant protection category, the J7 SHS impressed with an 81% score. The SUV's safety mechanisms, designed to protect grown adults in the event of frontal, lateral, and rear impacts, received praise for their stability and protection of the driver and passenger's knees and femurs, irrespective of their size or positioning in the vehicle.
The J7 SHS also secured an impressive 80% score in the child occupant protection, vulnerable road user (Pedestrian) protection, and safety assist systems tests. The hybrid SUV's safety assist system was particularly commended for its autonomous emergency braking system's responsiveness, the lane support system's adaptability, and the speed assistance system's swift communication of the local speed limit to the driver.
The impressive performance of the J7 SHS in the Euro NCAP assessment is a testament to JAECOO's commitment to road safety. The vehicle comes equipped with advanced safety technologies, including a DMS Driver Monitoring System and a 360° HD Panoramic Camera+Under Chassis View, which provide drivers with a comprehensive understanding of the vehicle's safety status and the overall road conditions. The Bosch's IPB intelligent braking system offers swift response times, and six strategically placed airbags ensure maximum safety during collisions.
The JAECOO J7 SHS is not just setting new safety standards in the new energy vehicle era but is also poised to lead the hybrid SUV market in the Philippines. The vehicle offers a smooth, turbo-charged powertrain, promising seamless long-haul drives in both hybrid and pure electric modes. The combination of a 201 HP motor, a 5th Generation 1.5 TDGI DHT hybrid engine, and a fast-charging 18.3 kWh lithium-ion battery allows for seamless switching between Full Electric, Series Hybrid, Parallel Hybrid, and Energy Recovery (regen) modes. During the AAP Verification Range Test earlier this year, the J7 SHS demonstrated its extended range capabilities by covering a distance of 1,488.8 kilometers on a full tank and a single charge, surpassing its advertised range of 1,200+ km.
The JAECOO J7 SHS was previewed at the 2025 Manila International Auto Show (MIAS), where it received significant attention and led to numerous early reservations. The model will also be displayed at the upcoming OMODA and JAECOO Global Conference in Wuhu, China, on April 23.
The first batch of J7 SHS units is slated to arrive in the Philippines by the end of May. Interested buyers can pre-order the J7 SHS at OMODA and JAECOO Philippines’ official dealerships in Pasig, Sta. Rosa, and Cebu. The vehicle will be available in the Premium and Comfort variants, priced under Php 1.7 million.
