|Cherry Mobile Thunder 2.0|
After several teaser released by Cherry Mobile, they have already announced officially their most affordable quad-core Smartphone offering to date, the Thunder 2.0. The Cherry Mobile Thunder 2.0 is the successor of the original Thunder and priced at PHP6, 299 which is PHP700 lower than the Flame 2.0.
The Thunder 2.0 boast the usual Dual SIM Dual Standby capability and powered by the MediaTek MT6589 processor clocked at 1.2GHz coupled with the PowerVR SGX544MP GPU. The only downside here is the 512MB RAM which I believed a little too low for quad core device.
- Dual SIM, Dual Standby
- 5" capacitive FWVGA (854x480), 5-point multi-touch
- Android Jelly Bean 4.2.1
- 1.2GHz Cortex-A7 Quad Core CPU, PowerVR SGX544MP GPU MediaTek MT6589 chipset
- 512MB of RAM
- 4GB of internal storage, expandable up to 32GB via micro SD
- 8MP auto focus main camera with LED flash, Full HD video recording
- 2MP secondary camera
- WiFi 802.11 b/g/n
- Stereo FM Radio
- 3.5mm Audio Jack
- Micro USB 2.0
- GPS with A-GPS
- 2100mAh Li-Ion Battery
Having a 512MB RAM could be a mistake, however Torque Droidz Quad and Arc Nitro 450QD also has the RAM capacity despite of having 1.2GHz quad core CPU. It could be an interesting thing to see how well it performs in real life.
