Kata Digital Philippines recently released their newest device, the Kata F2, a quad core Android smartphone that retails for Php3,999.

The Kata F2 is the successor of the Kata F1s, they have the same 4.5-inch display and qHD resolution, but the newer model has a clearer and brighter display than its predecessor, thanks to its IPS panel. On the inside, it is powered by MediaTek MT6582M processor with four CPU cores clocked at 1.3GHz coupled with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage.

In terms of physical dimensions, both have pretty much the same measurements, not to mention the similarities in design and build quality. To learn more about this dual SIM phone, please kindly watch the unboxing video that we prepared below.

The retail package consists of the unit, 1850mAh battery, charger, USB cable, headset and user manual.

Based on our initial observation, the Kata F2 battery is 300mAh bigger than the F1s and the original Kata F1. The display is also better in terms of rendering images than the previous two models, moreover, the viewing angles are greater too. Out of 8GB ROM, 6.14GB is available, wherein 1.97GB of which is set as internal storage and 4.17GB is set as phone storage. In Antutu benchmark, it scored more than 19K, which is pretty similar to other devices of the same chipset.
