Yesterday, Samsung Asia Private Limited headed by Ms. Chris SIM has launched in the Philippines the sleek, stylish, fast and safe solid state drive, the Samsung Portable SSD T1.

The Samsung Portable SSD T1 boasts a sequential read/write speed of 450MBps which is about 4x faster than traditional external HDD. It is also capable of 8,000 Input Output Per Second (IOPS) for random 4KB read and around 21,000 IOPS for random 4KB write. These are about 64x and 100x faster when compared to the usual external hard disk drive's measly 125 IOPS and 200 IOPS respectively.

The SSD T1 is also equipped with AES 256-bit hardware encryption keeping your important files protected against any unwanted or unathorized access. And since it has no mechanical or moving parts, it can easily withstand accidental bumps, knocks and drops, which simply means that your data is safe from being corrupted.

All these amazing features packed with a very slim and compact body not to mention very lightweight. It comes it 250GB, 500GB and 1TB variants, wherein the first one is now available nationwide on Samsung distributors and authorized re-sellers for Php9,999. Meanwhile, the availability of the two bigger capacities are yet to be announced.
