| Cherry Mobile Flare Mate, 6-inch FHD Octa Core Phablet with Fingerprint Scanner |
Last month, Cherry Mobile announced three more additions to the growing (and keeps on growing) Flare family. This Christmas season, a new bred of Flare device is coming, the Cherry Mobile Flare Mate.
The Cherry Mobile Flare Mate packs a 6-inch display with Full HD resolution giving it a pixel density of 367 PPI plus IPS technology for clearer and more vibrant images. If I am not mistaken, it is the bigger Flare device to date.
On the inside, it is powered by 1.3GHz octa core processor bundled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. The chipset is yet to be determined, but we believe it is the MediaTek MT6753M, the same one that ticks inside the Flare S4 Plus.
Camera wise, it has a 16MP BSI sensor on its back and another 5MP in the front for selfie and video calls. This dual SIM smartphone has LTE connectivity and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop.
What separates the Flare Mate to other Cherry Mobile devices is the built-in fingerprint scanner, the first of its kind from the local brand. We do not know yet how it is being implemented , but having one on-board is certainly a premium feature as its retail price tag is set to Php8,999
