| SKK Mobile Introduces Chronos Byte, 5.5-inch HD Quad Core with 1GB RAM for Php2,599 |
Aside from the Chronos Ace, SKK Mobile also unveiled another smartphone budget offering that belongs to the same series, the SKK Mobile Chronos Byte.
The SKK Mobile Chronos Byte packs a display that measures 5.5-inch diagonally with IPS panel and HD resolution for better readability and viewing angles. It also has a metallic frame and a beautifully crafted housing, which makes it stand out among its competitors that mostly use plastic. One thing that people should know is that the circle below the LED flash is not a fingerprint sensor, it is just aesthetically made to look like one.
According to PJ of GizGuide who happens to have the live unit ahead of the official launch, the processor used is the MediaTek MT6580 that has four CPU cores and only clocked at 1.3GHz each, as opposed to the above image indicating higher frequency of 1.5GHz. The good thing though is that it comes with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of expandable storage.
It has an introductory price of Php2,599, which is 1000 pesos more affordable than its regular SRP of Php3,599.
