|Android 7.0 Nougat Arrives on Cherry Mobile One G1|
The beauty of Cherry Mobile’s G1 is that it will be in the front line when it comes to new iterations of Android updates. The update doesn’t come as fast as other Nexus devices, however, but you’ll be guaranteed it will get the update sooner or later. Now, it seems that it has done so, as Android 7.0 Nougat goes live on the CM G1.
According to a report from the folks at GizGuide, testimonials from the users in the Cherry Mobile G1 UNITED group have indicated that Google is now pushing Android 7.0 Nougat to the Android One handset, and that it features a better UI as well as several improvements in both the performance and security aspects.
And of course, while the Cherry Mobile G1 seemed to be dated due to it being released last year, it’s still a capable handset that has its merits. It features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 chipset with a 1.2GHz quad-core CPU and Adreno 306 GPU paired with 2GB of RAM, and it even comes with LTE connectivity for blazing fast internet speeds. You’ll also get 16GB of internal storage, and its main camera comes at a nice 16MP shooter while a 5MP selfie snapper stands up front.
