| Moto Z Play Unveils in the Philippines for Php22,999; MotoMods, Snapdragon 625, 16MP Camera |
Together with the Moto Z, the other modular Moto device that was unveiled tonight at City of Dreams Manila - Integrated Resort, Hotel & Casino, the Moto Z Play.
The Moto Z Play sports the same screen size and screen technology with its flagship sibling, albeit toned down resolution at 1080p. It also got an added waistline at 7mm compared to 5.2mm of the Moto Z, but do not get me wrong, it is not that chubby in real life.
Underneath its skin is an octa core Qualcommm Snapdragon 625 chipset that has 8 Cortex-A53 CPU cores clocked at 2GHz each paired with Adreno 506 graphics processing unit. It also has a 3GB RAM for smooth multitasking and 32GB of ROM, which can be further expanded up to 256GB using a micro SD card through its dedicated slot.
In terms of camera, the main one packs a 16MP f/2.0 module with a phase detection auto focus and a dual LED flash, while the one in the front comes with 5MP resolution. Other notable specs are dual SIM with LTE connectivity, non-removable 3,510mAh battery and runs on Android Marshmallow. Pricing wise, it has an SRP of Php22,999.
