Star Telecom Alliance Resources, Inc. (STAR Inc.), the company behind local smartphone manufacturer Starmobile, recently announced that their complete product line-up is now certified by international quality control organizations, including European Conformity (CE), Federal Communications Commission-USA (FCC), and RoHS Directive of the European Union.

“Having fully-certified and compliant parts make for a fully-certified and compliant phone,” Starmobile COO Michael Chen said. “Under Star Standards, the company has been able to meet its target of having the lowest product return and defect rate among local smartphone brands today.”

The company noted that this is the result of their “Star Standards” initiative, where the brand deliberately selects only parts, partners, factories, and practices that have industry certifications. The brand also has 35-point quality control check, ensuring that individual parts such as the USB port, touchscreen, speakers, and batteries are functioning well.

“Not all local brands are created equal. This is why our lineup of devices remain to be a cut above the rest,” Chen boasted. “We will continue to improve on this practice as we see it as a key to our long-term business strategy.”
