Vivo Philippines has been teasing the imminent arrival of their latest devices in the country, namely the Vivo V7 and V7+. But, just like before, India, Vivo's biggest market outside China, gets to have the first dibs before anyone else.

Vivo India only unveiled the Vivo V7+, and there was no mention about the non-plus variant. One of the Vivo V7 Plus key features is its bezel-less display with 18:9 aspect ratio called FullView, which is becoming a trend in today's devices like the LG G6 and Samsung Galaxy S8. It has an IPS panel that measures 5.99 inches diagonally with a resolution of 1440x720 pixels, which translates to about 269 PPI.

Underneath its beautiful display is a Qualcomm Snapdragon SoC with 8 Cortex-A53 CPU cores clocked at 1.8GHz each paired with Adreno 506 GPU. It is the latest mobile platform from the chip maker that is based on the 14nm semiconductor processing technology, which makes it up to 30 percent more power efficient than Snapdragon 435 that is based on 28nm FinFET process. Moreover, even if the GPU is the same on paper as the SD435, Qualcomm claims that the SD450 delivers about 25% increase in graphics performance. The multitasking will be handled by a 4GB RAM, which is becoming the norm in today's midrange devices, while storage option is only 64GB, but with an option to expand it further up to 256GB by simply inserting a micro SD card in its dedicated slot.

Meanwhile, the camera department dropped the dual front optics set-up found in its predecessor, the Vivo V5 Plus, and opted to hire a 24MP selfie snapper with a bright f/2.0 aperture. However, based on Qualcomm's website, the Snapdragon 450 chipset only supports up to 21MP resolution, so most probably this one is a software interpolation. Moving on, its primary shooter is a 16MP sensor with phase-detection auto focus and an LED flash to assist it in low-light situations.

The other details worth mentioning are dual SIM with LTE connectivity, custom-made Hi-Fi audio chip, fingerprint sensor mounted on its back, 3225mAh non-removable battery, and runs on Funtouch OS 3.2 based on Android Nougat out of the box.

The Vivo V7 Plus is an Amazon India exclusive for now, has an asking price of INR21,990 or about US$344 (Php17.4K) and will be out in the market in September 15. In the Philippines, it will be launched in less than two weeks, September 20 to be exact.
