GCash has teamed up with Facebook to make its service available on Messenger such as paying bills and buying prepaid loads.

With its continuous effort in expanding its services, GCash addressed that the messaging app could help them reach more people who might not have access to its current services.

“This integration with Messenger represents an exciting new way to reach the unbanked in the Philippines,” Albert Tinio, President and CEO of GCash, said. “We want everyone to enjoy cashless convenience on their mobile phones, and we think that these new tools will improve the financial lives of our customers.”

GCash also announced that sending money to friends and family will be soon available on Messenger, too.

“We’re excited to work with GCash to give Filipinos new tools to access their money using Messenger,” Facebook Product Manager Ginger Baker noted. “Our goal is to amplify the reach and impact of providers like GCash by enabling tools that allow them to connect people with the services and friends they care about.”

To access GCash on Messenger, users simply have to search for GCashOfficial on Messenger on Android.
