Samsung Galaxy Core

The Samsung Galaxy Core is now available Globe's postpaid plan 999 with data add-on required. The Galaxy Core boasts a dual core Cortex A5 processor clocked at 1.2GHz, 1GB of RAM and runs Android Jelly Bean 4.1.2 with Touch Wiz UI on top.

The unit is a Dual SIM, Dual Standby smartphone that has a 4.3-inch screen of WVGA resolution (800x480), 8GB of internal storage which can be expanded via micro SD and 5MP camera. The MySuperPlan 999 is a fully consumable plan wherein you can get 1700 peso value which you can use to purchase combos or use it as it is for call or text.

Key Specs:

  • Dual SIM, Dual Standby
  • Quad Band GSM/EDGE/GPRS, Dual Band HSPA+
  • 4.3" capacitive WVGA (800x480)
  • Android Jelly Bean 4.1.2
  • 1.2GHz Dual Core CPU
  • 1GB of RAM
  • 8GB of internal storage, expandable up to 64GB via micro SD
  • 5MP auto focus main camera with LED flash, 480p video recording
  • VGA secondary camera
  • WiFi 802.11 b/g/n
  • Stereo FM Radio
  • 3.5mm Audio Jack
  • Micro USB 2.0
  • Bluetooth 3.0
  • GPS with A-GPS Support
  • 1800mAh Li-Ion Battery

There is nothing spectacular in the specs and I honestly think it is a bit expensive for plan 999 because you can get a better unit with the same plan from their line up such as Huawei Ascend Mate. Also their competitor Sun Cellular offers it at Plan 600. What do you think guys?
