Yesterday when I was 168 mall in Divisoria, it is not only the SKK Mobile Platinum that I came across with, I also found the cheapest dual core Android smartphone, the SKK Mobile Neo. The price is originally 2999 pesos but they slashed Php1000 off. The market price now is Php1,999 and according to the salesperson on the Kiosk it will stay that way.
The Neo is a dual SIM dual standby phone that runs in Android Jelly Bean 4.2.1 out of the box powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor of unknown chipset. It has a 3.5" LCD display, dual camera, FM radio and expandable storage of up to 32GB. On the connectivity side, it has built-in WiFi and Bluetooth.

The specification is fairly decent, especially for its price tag. I believed this one would appeal to the general masses, having a dual core processor for only 1,999 pesos it will have great advantages over its competitor which offer higher price with lower specs.

    We must take in to consideration some missing information though

    What was Processor used?
    Chipset Brands
    Size of ROM and RAM
    Camera Specs
    HSDPA and 3G Capabilities.

    It is really a blank space waiting to be filled the Php 3000 peso Dual Core space, considering there is a Php 4000 Quad Core Device that is already available.

      Thanks a lot for dropping by, yes there are a lot of things need to be clarified first.

      However for 1999 pesos this is the cheapest dual core you can currently get in the market. The 1999 pesos will be its official price...

    The pricetag sure is cheap, but all in all, in my own point of view, it will not beat the still Dual-Core ng Bayan (CMFlare) due to the big difference between the two handhelds.

    If you simply want to move from a typical java phone to a smartphone then, this could be the best choice.

    If the specs is similar to that in CMFlare (more importantly the ROM,RAM and connectivity capabilities) then, it might replace the CMFlare's throne and will be the new Dual-Core ng Bayan.

    P.S. 3.5" is too small, I think.

    i think 2gb rom at 512 ram ito, kasi diba di gagana kung mababa ang specs nya, considering na dual core ito at jelly bean pa...

    This is no longer the "CHEAPEST DUAL CORE" in the market, mas mura pa ung myphone 2g priced at 1988 pesos! :) Dual core 1ghz, 512mb ram, jellybean 4.2.2,

    mayroon na ding Myphone Agua Rain 3G.. P2988 nga lang.. pero may Dual cam na yun. 3.2MP ang Rear tapos 1.3MP naman sa front. :)

    Bumili ako ng NEO para sa gf ko kanina.. SKK STEEL user ako kaya para sakin ok din ang SKK kaso pag bukas namin ng galery lahat ng photo namin parang blur na may kulay blue at green.. Medyo dissapointed ako sa quality.. Ipapa replace ko xa bukas XD

    i and my son bought hkk neo at robinsons cdo yesterday. the item look really so nice. when we travelled home for pagadian we dropped by at a friend's home in iligan for dinner and by that time charged the unit since it seemed so drained. At first it did not respond charging. Don't know why. When we arrived home I charged the unit using its charger. same thing happened . it did not respond. I borrowed a clip charger and it worked. I charged it overnight. Thinking full already I insert the battery to the unit and charged again. To our surprise, in stead the battery charging reverse thing happened. It discharged. I called up the telephone the dealer gave and she reasoned out that the battery is only class A. She recommend that I should replace it with a new one. Im not satisfied with her answer since i am expecting that batteries of that new unit is also of a quality kind not class A. AS IF I AM WASTING MY 1,999.00 on that unit. I CA'NT USE THE UNIT BY NOW. TO HKK DEALER kindly explain what I could possibly do with your unit? TO buyers , please learn from this experience......I HAVE TO SUBMIT THIS INCIDENT TO DTI CDO FOR FURTHER inquiry.....

    bumili ako ng 2 for me and my wife last dec 23, 2013.. SULIT ang pera mo.. mabilis sa wifi sa games ok naman at pwede pang lagyan ng 3d themes..Highly recommended sa mga katulad kong konti lang budget hehe..
