Cherry Mobile Thunder 2.0 versus Cherry Mobile Burst 2.0 |
Cherry Mobile NewGen smartphones includes Flare 2.0, Flare 2x, Apollo and Burst 2.0. The first two phones are using Qualcomm chipset while the last two are using MediaTek chipset. The Burst 2.0 is currently the cheapest quad-core based on MT6589 processor for only Php4699.
Last June, they released the Thunder 2.0 which has a similar specification with Burst 2.0. Let see the comparison table below to know their similarities as well as differences.

As you can see in the above specs, they are much the same. There is a screen size difference but the resolution remains the same. There is also a small battery capacity gap as well as the camera resolution. However the BIG difference is the PRICE wherein the Thunder 2.0 is Php1600 more expensive.
My point here is that the local smartphone industry is accelerating, wherein the price is getting cheaper but you are getting almost the same specification of a gadget/device from just the past 3 months. This basically means that local smartphone is depreciating fast compared to "branded" ones.
