A few days ago we posted an article about the newest quad-core device from SKK Mobile - the Griffin, and it turns out that it has a twin - the Griffin 2.
The two smartphones have identical specs, both have 4-inch capacitive WVGA touchscreen display, 1.3GHz quad-core processor, 4GB ROM, 512MB RAM, 5MP main camera, etc. Their retail price is also the same, a peso under 3600.
As of this writing, the only known differences between them are their design and the screen technology used in the display, the Griffin 2 uses an IPS panel while the Griffin is just an ordinary one.
So if we will base our judgement on current information, the Griffin 2 will be better because of the IPS screen. However, there are still some specifications that are missing, like the chipset use, the battery capacity and if the camera will be auto-focus or not.
No mention yet about their availability, but as of this point they are the cheapest quad-core Android 4.2 Jelly Bean smartphones on the local market.
