After I spotted the Cherry Mobile Marble two weeks ago, the company has released another smartphone without any teaser or announcement of any kind, meet the Edge 2, a quad-core device for only Php3,300 (or shall I say Php2,999?).

It sports a 4-inch OGS touchscreen display with WVGA resolution powered by a Qualcomm processor with four CPU cores clocked at 1.2GHz each coupled with 512MB of RAM. The native storage is only 4GB, but it has a micro SD slot for expansion up to 64GB.

There is an 8MP shooter on the back and a VGA secondary camera in the front. This dual SIM dual standby phone supports 3G connectivity, has 1420mAh battery and runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.

The above mentioned specs are pretty much identical with the Cherry Mobile Life 2.0 and their price is also the same. The advantages of the Edge 2 (at least on paper) are the OGS display and the slightly bigger battery. So if you have 3.3K pesos, you have two choices if you want to spend it for Cherry Mobile smartphone.
