SKK Mobile Phoenix X1, 5-inch HD Octa Core Phablet For Only Php5,499 |
It uses the popular MediaTek MT6592 chipset with eight CPU cores clocked at 1.7GHz each. It is not just the processor which is impressive, most of its specifications are excellent too. It has a 5-inch HD IPS display, 8GB of internal storage plus an expansion slot up to 64GB, OTG functionality, 13MP main camera, 5MP secondary shooter and 2500mAh battery.
The specs are pretty much the same with the SKK Mobile Marian S1, albeit it is a bit thicker. That being said, we wonder how would the company going to market the Marian S1, which has a price tag of Php9,999. Yes, it has freebies such as extra battery, screen protector and smart case, but it is enough to attract consumers? Another device from the company that would suffer is the SKK Mobile Kraken, it is also an octa core smartphone, but with inferior specs yet price at Php7,999.
No matter how SKK Mobile will market their other devices, one thing is certain, the Phoenix X1 is definitely the cheapest octa-core device in the local market. It dethroned the CM Pulse with a Php1K difference and other octa core phones with a wide margin.
