During the We're On Windows event held last September 9, Cherry Mobile literally WOW the crowd with the unveiling of the Windows Phone 8.1 devices.

Aside from the entry-level Alpha Style, the most-valued local mobile brand also launched the bigger and better Alpha Luxe. It boasts a 5-inch IPS HD touchscreen display with DragonTrail glass on top to protect it from everyday scratches.

Under the hood you have a 1.2GHz quad core Qualcomm processor coupled with 1GB of RAM. It has 8GB of internal storage plus a micro SD expansion slot capable of supporting up to 32GB card.

This dual SIM dual standby WP 8.1 phablet has 3G connectivity, WiFi, Bluetooth and micro USB 2.0. It also packs a decent 8MP auto focus main camera at the back and a 2MP secondary camera in the front.

If you are wondering what is its OEM, it is Tinno Mobile, which is a well-known partner of MyPhone and Micromax of India. Actually, the Alpha Luxe is almost identical with the Micromax Win W121, the main difference we know so far is the back cover, the W121 has leather-like finish while the Luxe has a glossy one.

In terms of pricing, the Cherry Mobile offering is cheaper which only cost Php4,999 compared to around Php7K (INR9500) from the Indian counterpart.
