MAIA stands for Making Amazing Innovations Accessible and it has three members upon launch, the MAIA Fone i4, the MAIA Pad and the MAIA Smart Tab, the first one is a smartphone while the remaining two are tablets, all of which provides great value for money.

Let us start with the MAIA Fone i4, it sports a 4-inch display powered by a 64-bit Intel Atom X3 processor clocked at 1GHz each bundled with 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage expandable up to 64GB. This dual SIM phone has a 1350mAh battery, runs on Android 4.4 KitKat and has the usual connectivity features like 3G/HSPA+ and WiFi. If I am not mistaken, it is the first Intel-powered device from a local brand. It has a retail price tag of just Php1,999 which is really a great considering its internals.

Next is the MAIA Pad, it is a dual SIM tablet with 7-inch display. Like its smartphone sibling, it runs on Android KitKat and has the same Intel SoFIA chipset clocked at the same speed. The 2MP main camera and VGA front camera as well as the connectivity sets are also identical with the MAIA Fone i4. The upgrade comes in the RAM, ROM and battery capacity, which are 1GB, 8GB and 2,800mAh respectively. This device can be yours for a pocket-friendly SRP of Php2,999.

Last is the more sophisticated MAIA Smart Tab, it is an 8-inch HD tablet that can alternately boot in either Android 4.4 KitKat or Windows 8.1 (can be upgraded to windows 10). On the inside, it is powered by Intel Atom Z3735F, which is a quad core processor clocked at 1.8GHz each. It has a generous 32GB of internal storage and an ample amount of RAM, which is 2GB. It also comes with a 5MP rear camera and 2MP secondary shooter. It can be yours for only Php4,999, which is 1000 pesos more affordable than the Cherry Mobile Alpha Play.
