| Cherry Mobile Outs Flare Selfie, Octa Core, 3GB RAM, 16MP Front Cam and Fingerprint Sensor for Php7,999 |
Cherry Mobile, one of the leading smartphone brand in the country, has dropped its biggest surprise of the year, the Cherry Mobile Flare Selfie.
The Cherry Mobile Flare Selfie is the first selfie-centric device in the Flare series, it boasts a 16MP pixel front camera accompanied by an LED flash. As far as I know, the Flare Selfie has the biggest front camera resolution, not only among the Flare lines, but the whole Cherry Mobile offering as well.
On the inside, it has the same internals as the Cherry Mobile Flare S4 Plus, a 64-bit MediaTek MT6753 processor having 8 Cortex-A53 CPU cores and ARM Mali-T720MP3 as its GPU bundled with 3GB of RAM, 16GB of on board storage and runs Android Lollipop. Like the original Cherry Mobile Selfie, it accommodates dual SIM cards wherein the second tray can be used for SIM or a micro SD card, but this time, it supports micro SIM rather than nano SIM.

The Flare Selfie is also considered as the first Cherry Mobile to have fingerprint sensor as the Flare Mate is not yet official. Other notable specs include 5-inch HD display with Dragontrail Glass protection, high speed data connectivity via LTE, 16MP main camera coupled with dual-tone LED flash and 3,000mAh battery.
It will retail for Php7,999 and will be available as early as January next year.
