PLDT SME Nation’s social media crowdsourcing search for the new wave of entrepreneurs is now ready and set to welcome a fresh bunch of players seeking to change the face of the industry. In partnership with Rappler, #BeTheBoss is now back for another year as it capitalizes on its goal to highlight the excellent people who bring digital integration and revolutionary innovations in technology.
The goal of PLDT SME Nation is quite simple – demonstrating how today’s technology can bring empowerment to enterprises no matter the scale, and help them grow their businesses through young entrepreneurs who have made their mark in the industry.

You can now cast your votes until July 10, 2016 by heading to rappler.com/betheboss. Judges will be looking into the list of nominations and choose only three of the finalists from the different categories currently present for this year. Do take note that the final phase will account to 40% of the finalist’s score, so social media presence plays an integral part here.

For this year, there are four categories:
Boss for E-Commerce is for the e-commerce player well-versed in the opportunities of the internet through innovative approaches and online services.
Boss for Social Media, as its name suggests, is for the entrepreneur who knows the way around the vast social media space and how to use it to grow an online community.
Boss for Social Responsibility is for the one who goes beyond marketability and profitability by giving back to the people in the community.
Boss for Innovative Solutions is for the trailblazer who think outside the box and take advantage of the technology to provide services to the masses.
The first batch of winners and finalists last year went to Silicon Valley to immerse themselves in the revolutionary digital age in one of the hot spots in today’s technology. Of course, this year’s batch of winners will also be treated with the same experience.
This year’s winners will also get the opportunity to broaden their horizons and globalize their business with the Silicon Valley experience.
