Last year, the National Telecommunication Commission (NTC) issued its final Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) in regards to Digital TV broadcast services, wherein the agency has opted to adopt Integrated Services Digital Broadcast-Terrestrial (ISDB-T) standard made popular by Japan. Today, we are seeing more and more Filipinos are shifting to it, either through a DTV Box or through a mobile phone, such as the silently released Cherry Mobile Spin TV.
The Cherry Mobile Spin TV sports a modest specs, which is expected given the fact that it has a very low asking price of Php1,699. But, do not get me wrong here, as the phone is considered to have a very decent specs-to-price ratio. To start, it comes with a 4-inch display powered by 1.2GHz quad core processor coupled with 4GB of storage, 512MB of RAM and runs on Android Lollipop. This dual SIM handset also packs 5MP rear camera with flash and a VGA front snapper for your on-the-spot photography needs. Moreover, you also get the usual Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity features.
